Omisalj
A
town and port in the north-western part of the island of Krk. Population 1,554.
Situated on a knoll (82 m) above the sea, the large Omisalj Bay, which is well
protected from all winds except from north-westerlies. Chief occupations are farming,
fishing, chemicals and tourism. A tanker terminal is located in the Omisalj Bay.
Lies on the local road which is connected with the regional road running from
the Bridge of Krk to Baska. |
