Alghero

in local idiom "S'Alighera" or "L'Aliera" or "L'Alghè" and in catalan idiom "L'Alguer".
Its inhabitants call it sometïmes with love Barceloneta (pronounced Baltsarunéta)
due to former Catalans who came here from the other side of Mediterranean Sea
in the first half of 4th century giving Alghero a unique Catalan mark. Two
memorable drives to take: From Alghero to
Bosa along the sea-road = 44,7 Km just close to the sea-side except for Capo Marrargiu
headland is one of the most sceenic roads in Sardinian coast. From
Alghero, along the "Dante" sea-side, you drive through characteristic high grounds
with a panoramic view over the bay and the coast until you reach Capo Caccïa.
