Albacete airport is located
to the south of the region's capital city, at an elevation of 700 metres above
sea level. It is in an area known as Los Llanos, within the municipality of Albacete.

In
the City of Albacete Cathedral
of San Juan Bautista - This construction in the heart of town is a landmark with
an exiting history. Taking 400 years to build in a mixture of Gothic and Renaissance
styles. The interior is ornately decorated and contains some superior works of
art. For the building alone it is well worth a visit. Museum of Albacete -
Abelardo Sanchez Park. This fine museum is well positioned in the centre of the
park. Some great peices are housed here and the visitor can get a good overview
of the town through the three seperate sections of Archaeology, Fine Arts and
Ethnology. Monastery of the Encarnacion - This is the city's cultural centre,
the monastery dates from the 16th century. It is the place for touring cultural
exhibits and the original copper ceiling is spectacular. This building is a must
see on a visit to the city. Albacete Race Track - You can go to this famous track
to watch regular race meetings or have a go yourself on a weekday. |
