London City Airport (Docklands)
It is easy to get between the centre of London and London City Airport, as the airport is situated only 10 miles (16km's) from the West End (the shopping and political district), six miles (10km's) from the City of London (the financial district) and three miles (5km's) from Canary Wharf (London's newest business and financial centre).
The Docklands Light Railway extension to London City Airport is now open.
The station is situated 50 yards from the Airport Terminal and journey times are as follows:
Bank - 22 minutes
Canning Town - 8 minutes
Canary Wharf - 14 mintues (change at Poplar - change time 3 minutes)
The shutlebus no longer serves the airport as DLR has taken over.
London Underground one-day travelcards (suitable for local buses, trains, DLR and the tube) can be purchased at the British Hotel Reservation Desk, located opposite the International Arrivals doors.
London City Airport to London Heathrow
From London City Airport, take the Docklands Light Railway directly into Bank and connect with the Central Line straight into Liverpool Street station. From there, join either the Circle or Hammersmith and City Underground Line (ticket required) to Paddington. Follow the signs for the mainline station and join the Heathrow Express Rail Service which links Paddington with London Heathrow every 15 minutes (£12 single). Typical total journey time varies between 90 and 120 minutes.

London City Airport to London Gatwick
At London City Airport take the Docklands Light Railway directly to Canning Town where you can pick up the Jubilee Line (London Underground) to London Bridge (ticket required). Follow the signs for the mainline station and take the Thameslink service direct to Gatwick Airport (£10.50 standard single). Trains run about every 15 minutes during normal operating hours. The typical total journey time varies between 90 and 120 minutes.
London City Airport to Stansted
Take the Docklands Light Railway from London City Airport to Bank, where you can pick up the Central Line (London Underground) to Liverpool Street. Take the Stansted Express train (www.stanstedexpress.com) to Stansted airport. The total journey times vary between 90 and 120 minutes.
London City Airport to Luton
Take the Docklands Light Railway from London City Airport to Bank, where you can pick up the Central Line (London Underground) to Kings Cross. Thameslink operates a fast, frequent service direct between central London and Luton Airport Parkway train station. Luton Airport Parkway is around 35 minutes away from King's Cross Thameslink station.
Parkway station to Luton terminal is by constant free shutle bus- travel time 10 min.
